Novena For Life - for an end to abortion and euthanasia
St. Theresa parishioners are invited to pray the following Novena For Life each day from September 23 to October 1, the feast day of St. Theresa of Lisieux:
A Prayer for Life by John Paul II
O Mary, bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life
Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy.
Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of life with honesty and love to the people of our time.
Obtain for them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.

40 Days for Life Campaign
n 63 countries and over 1000 cities worldwide, including Ottawa, the Annual 40 Days for Life Campaign will take place simultaneously from September 23 to November 1, by fasting and praying in a peaceful vigil for an end to abortion.
You are invited to participate by praying at the vigil site as a peaceful witness for the least of our brethren: the pre-born. If you cannot pray at the vigil site, you can pray and/or fast in church or at home. Since the vigil began in 2007, there were 17,226 documented lives saved, 206 abortion workers quit, 107 abortion centres closed.
Join the official Kick-off Rally NEXT Sunday, September 20 at 7:00 pm, at the city-designated vigil site on the southwest corner of Queen Street just off Bank Street. For more information go to
https://40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/ottawa/ or contact Rosella MacNeil at 613-327-0061.
On the southwest corner of Queen Street, just off Bank Street, 7 am-7 pm. 1 hour of your time can help save a life!

Prayer to make Spiritual Communion:
People who cannot communicate make spiritual communion:
At your feet, O my Jesus I bow down and offer you the repentance of my contrite heart, which abysses itself into its nothingness and Your holy presence. I adore you in the Sacrament of Your love, the ineffable Eucharist. I wish to receive you in the poor home that my heart offers you. In anticipation of the happiness of sacramental communion, I want to possess you in spirit. Come to me, oh my Jesus, that I may come to you. May Your love inflame my whole being, for life and death. I believe in you, I hope in you, I love you. So be it. Amen
Perpetual NOVENA Prayer to St. Theresa Little Flower:
O Little Therese of the Child Jesus, Please pick for me a rose, from the heavenly garden
and send it to me, as a message of love.
O Little Flower of Jesus, ask God to grant the favors
I now place with confidence in you hands
( mention your special prayer request here )
St. Therese, help me to always believe, as you did, in God's great love for me,
so that I may imitate your "Little Way" each day. Amen
